Workshops for
Teachers & Students

Each year Diana Wagner leads adults and children in a variety of workshops, including guitar master classes and arts integration activities.  Diana especially loves working with children who are just beginning to explore the guitar.

If you have an idea you would like to explore in your school, please contact Diana to brainstorm and plan a school visit.

Some of the options that are available:

  • Artist-in-Residence
    • Diana visits your school for all or part of a day (or days!) and leads music integration workshops and activities.  For example, she recently conducted music workshops in an earth science class and had the children singing about igneous rocks!
  • Guest Artist
    • As a guest artist, Diana has worked with school music classes, offering workshops on specific topics or playing and performing music with the children.  One of Diana's favorite activities is to work with guitar classes to create "guitar orchestra arrangements" of simple tunes.
  •  Teacher Professional Development
    • Teachers will learn how integrating music into general education fosters leadership, builds classroom community, and increases student engagement.  This is an especially good workshop for non-musicians.
